My Story

From coast to coast, I have seen the faithfulness of God. Though I am not a native of California, the Father gave my heart a sense of “home” during a visit to the area in 2020. Since then, I have held that feeling before the Father with open hands, wondering what He would do with it.

In the middle of a season, where I was content and excited about what God was doing in Charlotte, NC, the Father said it was time to move. Plans for a cross-country drive began shortly after. Let me tell you, the Father honors obedience in faith, and following Him is worth everything.

I have seen Scripture come to life before my eyes. In Ephesians 2:10, Paul tells the church, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” Being able to partner with the Waltons is a testimony to this. Before arriving in California, the Lord began to sow seeds of vision and value, which aligned closely with the vision God had given James, a dream ten years in the making. I am honored to partner with them as they lay the foundations for a Discipleship Training School in North County.

What we will be doing

My Mission

Growing up with praying parents has been one of God’s greatest blessings. Though my sisters and I participated in hands-on service and outreach, my parents also brought us to intercessory meetings and prayer ministries. Their consistency to seek God positioned me to see Him answer prayers big and small again and again. The priority they put on prayer has shaped my life.

While a student at Moody Bible Institute, I served on the leadership team for three prayer ministries. Encounter was the first, and it was founded in simple obedience to the Lord. I started the ministry my Freshman year as a space for students to experience and pursue the Father together through worship, prayer, and learning to minister to one another. Encounter was based on the principle that one moment with the Father can change everything, and it did! Students were saved, healed, and transformed in the presence of God. I stepped back from facilitating my Junior year and began empowering a team of eight leaders to take over the ministry. It was such a joy to see them flourish in their gifts as they responded to the Father’s call to lead.

I moved on from Encounter to serve as the Director for  Chicagoland University Prayer. Separately, another student and I had received visions of Chicago’s biggest three Christian schools coming together in prayer for revival. This is exactly what happened. Ultimately fifteen schools from the area participated in overnight prayer for God to move on their campuses.

Lastly, I had the opportunity to oversee a prayer ministry at my church during my pastoral internship. In preparation for a devoted time of prayer, I handled leadership equipping and theological development. During 21 Days, I oversaw a team responsible for marketing, production, hosting, and coordinating facilitators and worship leaders. Oh, how our church learned to treasure prayer!

Now, I am coming alongside the Waltons and the Jensen’s to see God birth a prayer movement in North County. This vision to see a prayer meeting weekly in each zip code, where Christians may gather in an ecumenical space to seek and find the Father in unity with one another. Prayer is the practical indication of our dependence on God and a means to continual abiding intimacy with the Father. It has been central to every move of God, and it is our joy to join into the intercession of Jesus as He is making all things new. We can do nothing apart from Him, so we are stoked to see all that He will do as we posture ourselves in humility and faith-filled surrender.
